Industrial production in the U.S. unexpectedly decreased in the month of September, according to a report released by the Federal Reserve on Friday. The Fed said industrial production fell by 0.6 percent in September after rising by 0.4 percent in August. The drop surprised economists, who had expected production to increase by 0.5 percent.
